Craig M. Patrick

Craig Patrick is the considered the most qualified automobile consumer attorney in Texas and he has a unique background combined with extensive experience that places him near or at the top of all automobile and RV consumer attorneys nationwide. Craig graduated from Baylor Law School in 1995 and completed the Texas Bar Exam at the age of 23. Craig spent the first 10 years of his legal career primarily defending automobile manufacturers, including all of the major US manufacturers, as well as RV manufacturers Fleetwood RV and Fleetwood Travel Trailers of Texas, and mobile home manufacturers Palm Harbor Homes and Fleetwood Homes.

In 2006, Craig switched to the Plaintiff’s bar, and has spent the past 20 years exclusively representing consumers’ warranty and fraud-based claims against automobile and RV manufacturers. Craig handled more than 1000 consumer claims on the defense side from 1995-2005, and since 2006, he has successfully represented more than 10,000 consumer plaintiffs in both individual and mass actions. Craig has tried more than 20 cases to a jury verdict in counties throughout Texas, and personally handled 7 appeals, including a successful appeal to the Texas Supreme Court with oral argument, and prevailed in 6 of 7 appeals. Craig passed the notoriously difficult California Bar Exam in 2008, and maintains a docket of consumer cases, as well as mass actions, in California. In 2017, Craig was admitted to the Virginia State Bar. Craig is admitted to practice, and has handled cases, in the Northern, Western, Eastern, and Southern Districts of Texas, as well as the Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts of California. Craig is also admitted to practice in the Eastern District of Virginia, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Northern District of Indiana.

Craig has been involved in several class actions in California, played major roles as opt-out counsel in Federal MDLs, and held leadership positions in 3 Texas State MDLs specifically related to fraud and defects in automobiles, an accomplishment likely unmatched by any other Texas attorney. In February 2015, Craig was appointed Co-Lead Plaintiffs’ Counsel of a Texas MDL styled IN RE: FORD MOTOR COMPANY 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE LITIGATION. In May 2016, Craig was appointed Lead Plaintiffs’ Counsel of Texas MDL styled IN RE: VOLKSWAGEN CLEAN DIESEL LITIGATION: CONSUMER CASE, one of the biggest and most famous consumer fraud cases in the world, and Craig represented the most VW consumers in the nation in all 4 of the 4 jurisdictions. Finally, in March 2018, Craig was appointed Lead Plaintiffs’ Counsel of a Texas MDL styled IN RE CHRYSLER-DODGE-JEEP ECODIESEL MARKETING, AND SALES PRACTICES LITIGATION.
